Stars of "Dexter" File for Divorce

The stars of the hit Showtime series Dexter are reportedly filing for divorce after just two years of marriage. Jennifer Carpenter, 31, and Michael C. Hall, 39, have been contemplating the split for a while, according to their joint representative.  A statement was issued recently making their divorce public, saying "Having been separated for some time, Jennifer Carpenter and Michael C. Hall have filed for divorce."

According to those close to the couple, the split has been amicable and mutual.

The couple met on their hit show "Dexter" where Hall plays a forensic expert and Carpenter assumes the role of his foster sister. They were married on December 31, 2008.
