Strange Child Custody Case Unfolds in Georgia

A bizarre case in Georgia gets a little stranger as a woman is fighting for the custody of her child in Gilmer County. Lisa Lynette Clark was formerly imprisoned on statutory rape charges for sleeping with a 15-year-old boy. However, she also had a baby with this person and then married him. Now that Clark is free she is fighting to regain custody of her baby.

The story made international headlines in 2006 when Clark announced that she planned on keeping the baby of her 15-year-old boyfriend. To make it worse, she married him before going to prison. Their child is now four years old and living with a legal guardian, Angela Perkins. She has raised him since birth.

Although the court records are not being released for their case, family members report that Lisa and Adrian Gonzales' request was denied by a judge. However, he did grant the couple additional visitation rights with their son. Officials are not commenting on the case at this time either.
