McCourts Divorce Trial Coming to an End
This week, it has been reported that closing arguments in the divorce trial for Frank and Jamie McCourt will be heard on Wednesday as the final witnesses appeared on Monday.
Steve Susman is scheduled to deliver the closing argument on behalf of Frank while Dennis Wasser is expected to deliver a closing argument on behalf of Jamie.
On Monday, both parties consulted with Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Peter Lichtman who served as a mediator during recent settlement discussions. It has been said that mediation will continue at some point following the closing arguments.
Due to the fact that no settlement has been reached, Judge Scott Gordon will have till December 28th to rule on the main issue of concern - the ownership of the Los Angeles Dodgers. At this time, the couple cannot agree on whether the team is marital property or separate property.
