Woman Seeks Restraining Order Against Prosecutor
In Colorado, a 40-year-old woman who was seeking two restraining orders against a Colorado district attorney was denied orders by the court. It is speculated that the woman was seeking the orders of protection due to alleged unlawful sexual contact.
Her requests were filed in Montrose County against Myrl Serra in 2008 and again on September 20th. Serra is a top prosecutor in the 7th Judicial District based in Montrose. He was placed under arrest on Thursday for suspicion of unlawful sexual contact, official misconduct and indecent exposure.
At this time, it is not clear if the restraining orders are related to the recent charges against the prosecutor as the Associated Press usually does not name victims of sex crimes in its reports.
