Police Track Down Mother and Kidnapped Daughter

It took officers just a few days to locate a woman who had kidnapped her own daughter in Nebraska.

According to official documents, the 2-year-old girl was visiting with her biological mother during a supervised visit when she escaped through a bathroom window. The mother has been fighting with the foster parents over legal child custody of her daughter, but was given supervised visits until the case has been heard in family court. Even though the abduction was not listed as an Amber alert, officers from the local sheriff's department dedicated their energies to locating the missing duo.

The pair was finally discovered in New Mexico where the mother is behind bars awaiting extradition.
