Basketball Player's Divorce Not So Surprising
The divorce between a famous basketball player and his wife may not come as a surprise to most. It has been several years since the first allegations of cheating were levied against the player but the wounds apparently did not heal.
According to the divorce papers filed by his wife earlier this month, the wife cited "irreconcilable differences." It took just six days for the husband to file his response to the divorce papers, a move that shows that he was also not surprised by her decision to divorce him. The couple has reportedly already discussed the particulars of their divorce and do not plan on having a long drawn-out proceeding.
As for their two children, daughters aged 5 and 8, the wife is asking for joint legal and physical custody. Additional information about the filing is being kept secret out of respect for their daughters. The two have been married since April 2001.
