Director Steven Soderberg Admits Paternity
Famed director Steven Soderberg has been shamed into revealing that he is indeed the father to a baby girl in Australia after a brief tryst down under.
The mother of the child, Frances Lawrencina, brought this news to the public when she made a child support claim against the director after proving the paternity of their daughter, Pearl Button. In the papers filed for
child support she said that they "had intercourse on many occasions" including the period when he was directing "Tot Mom" at the Sydney Theater Company.
At this time Anderson is seeking a formal declaration of paternity, as well as child support, for the daughter that she claims is Soderbergh's. According to Bernard Clair, Soderbergh's lawyer, his client was completely shocked by the allegations as he is still married to wife Jules Asner. However, at the time of the supposed coupling, Soderbergh was separated from Asner and has indeed recognized that he is the father of the child.
