Mickey Roonie Gets Restraining Order
Movie star Mickey Rooney, 90, won a temporary restraining order against his own stepson this week in court. The actor claims that Christopher Aber, 52, has known to be "verbally abusive" towards Rooney and that he has is "effectively a prisoner in his home" as a result.
The restraining order states that Aber cannot come within 100 yards of Rooney at any time. As Rooney's caretaker Aber has reportedly withheld medication and food, as well as hid his passport and other forms of identification. Over that time Rooney said that Aber threatened, bullied and harassed him in his own home. According to his lawyers, as a result of these actions Rooney had become fearful that his stepson would attempt to kidnap him.
Aber became a part of Rooney's family when the actor married his eighth wife, Jan Chamberlin, in 1978.
