Teen Mom Star's Ex Fails to Pay Child Support
More drama surrounding a Teen Mom star as Charles Andrew Lewis, the father of Jenelle Evans' son, spends time in jail for failing to make child support payments. The delinquent father spent 17 days in jail after being arrested by Randolph County branch of the North Carolina Sheriff's Department on a warrant.
There has been a warrant out for Lewis' arrest since Feb. 22, 2010 for failing to pay $824 to Evans for their son. However another warrant was issued, overriding the first one, as the amount owed increased to $2,079.69. This amount was meant to pay Barbara Evans, the grandmother, who had temporary custody of their son at that time. The warrant stated that since the defendant "has no just cause for refusing support" he could be taken into custody.
After being arrested Lewis was moved to the Brunswick County jail where he stayed for a few days. He was finally released after paying out $1,125.00 to Jenelle and Barbara.
