Restraining Order Filed Against Atlanta Falcons Player
Controversy strikes another pro-football player, this time in the form of a restraining order.
According to Channel 2 News, a restraining order was filed against Atlanta Falcons player Chris Owens by his ex-girlfriend, Latia Terry. She contacted the police when Owens reportedly entered her apartment and trashed it; she found multiple holes in the wall, her baby's crib torn apart, as well as bleach-covered shoes and clothes.
While she was able to file a restraining order against Owens, the police were quick to add that this does not make him the only suspect. Commenting on the case, Gwinnett police Cpl. Ed Ritter said, "Mr. Owens is no more a suspect than our complainant is at this time. Our investigators are looking into this, looking into all leads." At this time, nobody has formally been charged with the break-in at Terry's apartment.
