Husband Seeks Legal Separation After Wife's Disappearance
Now that his wife has gone missing, a Signal Mountain husband has filed forlegal separation.
According to police records, Gail Nowacki Palmgren has been reported missing since April 30. She was last seen dropping her children off at their home in St. Ives; Matthew Palmgren now has obtained a court order for full custody of his two children. It seems as though Gail had become increasingly more depressed, and even paranoid, possibly leading to her current disappearance.
Palmgren went on to tell police that a week before she disappeared, she took items from their home, including jewelry from his family, amounting to nearly $30,000. In addition, she had changed the pin number to three bank accounts that were in her name; they add up to nearly $420,000. Since passports were also removed from the house, Palmgren now fears that his wife will attempt to remove the children from this country.
