Maria Shriver Seeks Divorce

After learning that her husband fathered a child over a decade ago, Maria Shriver has decided to pull the plug on her marriage.

According to recent reports, former governor of California Arnold Schwarzenegger has admitted to the paternity of the child. In a statement issued to the press, he said: "After leaving the governor's office I told my wife about this event, which occurred over a decade ago. I understand and deserve the feelings of anger and disappointment among my friends and family." Schwarzenegger is now asking for a public apology for his actions.

In order to protect the privacy of the woman and her child, their identities have not been released to the public. It is known, however, that she voluntarily left her position in the household after working with the family for nearly twenty years. Maria Shriver is also asking for privacy regarding her family's divorce proceedings, especially for their children.
