Maria Shriver Wanted Divorce for Some Time

Although she wanted to get divorced from her husband for the past two years, Maria Shriver waited patiently for the right time. Now that Arnold Schwarzenegger has left political office, it seems that their divorce will happen even more rapidly than expected.

Nobody was more shocked than their public who had no reason to suspect that the power couple would divorce. According to a friend of the pair, who have been together for 25 years, "They actually seemed to have had one of the more functional Kennedy marriages. But like any long-term marriage, you either grow together or you grow apart."

Rumors about the dissolution are now coming to the surface that Shriver had been "extremely unhappy in her marriage for years, complaining about Arnold's out of control ego, as well as his womanizing." She reportedly moved out of the family house several months ago when Arnold left office and started to work once again on his movie career.
