Survey Reveals Interesting Divorce Information

A recent survey has revealed some interesting statistics about divorce in the United States. According to the report, the Northeast region of the country has the lowest divorce rate in America. New Jersey comes in first place for the lowest divorce rate. In that state, only 6.1 men and 6 women get divorced her thousand people each year. New York came in second behind New Jersey. The low numbers may have something to do with the culture of the area as well as the notoriously difficult divorce processes in both states.

Somewhat surprisingly the so-called Bible Belt had the highest divorce rate in the country. People in this area tend to get married faster, and a higher divorce rate appears to be the result. Specifically, in the South 10.2 men and 11.1 women got divorced last year per thousand people.
