Once Wealthy Man Owes Child Support

A once wealthy man is struggling to not just make ends meet for himself but to pay his child support obligations as well. Despite losing all of his assets and making just $300 per month, a judge in California has very little sympathy for his situation.

According to the court documents filed by the man, he has lost everything he owns and currently lives with his mother so he is not homeless. His wife is still demanding that he pay $2,074 per month as agreed upon when they first divorced. The man asked the court to have his payments reduced since he is making just $300 per month.

His wife went before a judge to argue that her ex-husband could take on multiple jobs to make his child support payments. She said he also needs to give up his pornography addiction if he is going to be a responsible father and contribute to raising his child.

If you owe child support, it is important that you meet with a Riverside family lawyer from our office as soon as possible to learn what options you have to avoid ramifications. Don't wait to contact the Law Office of Michael Young to get legal help.
